For the past couple days I have been using a green 5mw laser to polar align my star tracker and living a few miles away from a large international airport I only using it for a second or two at a time two times a night. Im extremely careful and scan the sky a couple times and use a airplane tracking map to see if their is any planes in that direction also. I live in southwestern USA. Is this illegal and should I keep doing this or not?
