Just joining this group. My career started in holography then remote sensing and building compact space qual DPSS lasers. I have had the good fortune of networking with some creative minds over the years. Looking forward to discussing current topics in photonics. Currently I am on a mission of connecting hobbyists optics needs to my large supply that I have from auction of canceled programs and companies going out of business. Mostly 500nm-8xx nm, cylindrical lenses, interference filters and first surface laser line mirrors.

Welcome to the forum

Nice to have a new member that is experienced with lasers, hope you enjoy your time here.

Make sure you utilize the search bar at the bottom of the page, it’s a very useful tool.

So where in CO are you living? I was in Denver and Pueblo many years ago. Welcome to the LPF.

North Denver metro area...close enough to the mountains to get some elevation on hot summer days.

I was in Lakewood and Aurora. Also was in Edgewater for awhile too. I always liked the mountains to the west of the Denver area. Been up them many times.

Welcome Colorado
Enjoy LPF many great folks here a wonderful forum

Welcome. I think a better handle to identify yourself here would be Front Range. The moniker stands out.
What knowledge do you have with optics?

I could be interested in the cyl lenses. Do you have any first surface mirrors that are concave? If so, I could be interested in those. Might have some other items I could be interested in. :yh:

Hi Paul, thnx for the welcome. this is a big group. my expertise is coherent imaging, interferometry, high rep rate holography for flow visualization (airflow & fluid) mostly designing & breadboard optical systems to fit into test chambers. Some experience building lasers (Nd:Yag)

Welcome to the Forum Sterling532...
I know you mentioned it on this Thread.
It would be helpful to members if you
added your Global location in your profile.. :)

Enjoy your stay and be Laser Safe.

We have a member here who lives in Arvada. He has quite a collection of rare and expensive lasers. His user name is ultimatekaiser. He has a lot of experience with OPSLs and many DPSS lasers. I have been a holographer since 1980, though I haven't done any lately. These were mostly for art as opposed to stress holograms. But, I have been aware of the types you are involved with.

I did some holography art as well in the early 80s. And had some of my work in the Museum of Holography in NY w/ Posy Jackson. But that was a side hobby.
