Hi guys, I've always loved lasers but signed up to hopefully get some guidance adding a bunch of lasers to a costume!

Hi,
Welcome to LPF nice folks here , Tell us a little about yourself what are some of your favorite things to do.

Rich:)

Welcome to the LPF. Putting lasers on a costume is not a good idea. It might sound cool, but they are an eye hazard and if you aren't in complete control of the beam, you will end up causing injuries to someone and that could end your life as you know it.

Welcome to LPF, Bigk! :yh:

I've got to agree with Paul, lasers on a costume isn't a good idea.
I've seen sites that sell clothing items with embedded lasers; everything from gloves, visers, and even jackets, but that doesn't make them safe, and as Paul said, you aren't in control of the beams.

Welcome to LPF, Bigk! There are many nice and knowledgeable people here who’ll be happy to listen and help whenever possible. Please understand that lasers are fun, but also dangerous. You can blind yourself or someone else faster than an eye blink. Safety is always the primary concern, and laser costumes are really a dumb idea, despite websites which are only interested in making money regardless of unintended consequences. Thanks and for God’s sake always be laser safe.

welcome
I highly suggest that you finish your profile so your 'location' shows under your username.
That way we can give better advice and you will be able to meet with Ca members--get your project metered free (the ONLY way you can be sure you are being safe)

Powers listed on FS lasers can be inaccuratre-- and sometimes more power that published ....sometimes less.
two 3$ green pen pointers and vary as much a 100 mW-- in fact its not easy to find them 4.99 mW or lower,
Continued in your project thread.

What BowtieGuy said above ^^^ . Frivolous and bad idea for many real reasons.

Welcome and enjoy the forum.
