By the way, I polish each one to a mirror finish. The pics don't show it very well.

I was asked if I could make Labby style heatsinks. Here is what I came up with. What do you guys think?

As for you lab style heat sinc, you are going to want fins on the outside going all the way around the block. It creates more surface area for better cooling, and i feel it makes it look better then just slick aluminum.

I'm not a machine shop. Just a guy with some tools in his garage. I have no way to add fins. I wish I could.

you dont need fins, not if your gonna TEC it (thats what im doing)

the heatsink i got is fatter than the entire flashlight  , and the screw to hold the axiz module is lower down on the big part of the base
