Just what Lifetime said,
it most likely is a class 4 but for how long who knows. Kinda funny they mention a 10 second duty cycle..
 
This is a cheap piece of crap that probably has an acrylic lens. That may be one reason for the short duty cycle, but it really is too small to handle the wast heat and most likely will fail very quickly. The specs are full of misrepresentations. You can build one that is much better than this for under $100.00.
 
That host has nearly nothing in the way of heatsinking. I would trust it up to 100mW but nothing past that. For just a little more you can get a much better laser building it yourself.

So for $89 or $99 plus shipping you can have a great 445nm laser with minimal assembly required vs gambling on cheap units.

Little bit more pricey, but a much more visually pleasing wavelength. Also seems DTR is currently out of stock on that diode but it may be worth the wait.
Just throwing some better options out there.

Whichever route you choose, don't forget some quality safety goggles.
 
As the others said, it is most likely very cheap in construction. If you don’t want to save up for a more expensive laser, you could go for the eBay Gatling laser. It’ll be around $50-60, and around 1 watt 445nm, but the quality will still be rather cheap. Other members have reviewed it and had a decent experience. But, I would personally recommend spending a little more, $90-100 for a much nicer laser.
