Hey!

was advised to ask for help here by another laser enthusiast as he didnt know what might be the problem.

last night I was toying around with my laser in the skies (quite foggy) and everything was ok and going all well as always. laser dot good as always, instantly started to smoke black plastic and cut thin electircal tape so all is fine. now today when i woke up I was gonna work on making my own diffraction grating to see how it woud turn out.

when i turned on the laser what i noticed was that its changed alot. almost as if something is broken inside it. shatered glass ish.

now i have my laser on a tripod and had it on it over night, its never been dropped onto any hard surface, shaken or struck anything others than falling onto my duvèt once.

The dot is "spread" alot more rather than the nice solid dot with "fuz" around it, aswell as theres an flattened X in the senter of it.

for those who have a similar laser as Aries 75 with the turn to open hole in front, when you turn it alittle a line comes more and more, its that sort of line that makes the x when its fully opened.

added an image to show alittle more how it was before and after.

anyone know what might be the problem?? the laser itself is less than one month old.

It looks like you either got something on the lens or moisture condensed on the inside of the module. Try cleaning the lens first. Otherwise give it a good long time to "dry out" in dry air.

Peace,
dave

Thanks ill leave it dry not touching it then =)

if it doesen't help I guess I'll just contact Laserglow to see if they want it returned to look at it or so
