Thought it'd be a cool weekend project. Not much $$$ + bit of time and patience = all kinds of awesome!

Total cost was around $150 AUS (would be more like $15 in the states... or anywhere else for that matter)

The 'rifle' works on an extremely basic design. The entire rifle holds around 140psi (I wouldn't push it any further than that)
and the air is released via a 25mm solenoid valve. Shoots whatever is in there over 100m (300ft). It accepts a variety of different
barrel diameters, allowing for a range of various projectiles including but not limited to: oranges, paper rockets, water balloons,
anything you can fit in there

Nice job Will; good hunting! ;)
Thanks for sharing with us.
PS - Now you need a laser sight for it!

I just remembered we have some member here that built a potato gun with a laser on it, there were at least several here that built potato guns before, there is a thread or two on it and maybe in the gun thread too I don't remember.

Loved it.

Beautiful property on there too in the video.

Now please share a DYI tutorial on how to make one please LOL.

Nice shot, nice property, I want a few dozen acres of my own so bad I can't stand it.

Hummm..... a potato launcher with a small pen laser embedded in the potato might be cool :p

(edit: Launched at night, you could probably find it with the laser still on, if it survived).

I just realized I have the exact same laser you have in your avatar. Same diode, host, power; everything. Good luck with your gun.

I would like to see someone test one with both raw potatos and with baked potatos to test the difference in the effect.

I might make a tutorial in the future, however it's pretty straightforward ;)

Powerful handheld rocket rifle AK-47 style

That's if the laser ever survives an impact like that

It's a stunning combination

+7 for that noise alone!

It's quite hectic, echoes for ages when fired in a valley
