I was in styropyro's discord chatting around and he said that he was planning on building
100w GREEN LASER PEAKING AT SEVERAL kW. What would you even do with that thing?

Yeah, he bought a Laserscope a little while ago AFAIK. Just needs to get it up and running, need to do some modifications to make them run continually.

I've been following those LaserScope units on ebay for two years, saw some great deals, but working over seas, I'm unable to partake.

Why not Adam, you'll make yourself some new lookout holes in your walls.

10W would be great for a show but most DPSS above half a watt can't modulate for crap. Can barely get a nice fade in my experience even with tuning. I'd love to get my hands on a 7kW 100W, maybe he's building something a little similar to what Lee laser does.

Thread needs more laser porn: how 'bout 130W QCW ns regime, only a piddly 4uJ but millions of them, divergence is better than a Taipan when your optics aren't thermal lensing, the down side is 1KHz modulation and it's only green for now. Next week will be finding out if it'll eat scanner mirrors too...
