Greetings to All From Southern California!

Welcome from another Beamhead:). There's a world of information here, and some really great guys ( politiclty incorrct, should have said "person's," heeee, but seriously there's some really sharp people here. And a lot are more than willing to help if you can't figure something out. ( Happens to everybody sooner or later.) So be safe, enjoy , and looking forward to your first build post.:drool:Their always a great way to learn. Grab some safety glasses, your going to need them. If you keep your eyes open there's some great deals that run through the forum. So I guess it's Mac&Cheese for you for awhile. Heee. Best wishes, take care, and be safe.

Thanks a lot for the welcoming! I can't wait to complete my first build, and I'm definitely looking forward to learning from the best of the best. First things first "safety goggles" are a must. As of now I just have a next to worthless $5.00 pair of generic ebay goggles that came as a part of a laser kit. I'm looking around for a legit pair now. And last but not least... to do alll the above WITHOUT breaking the bank!
Cheers

Look no further than the top of the page and you'll see the Survival laser ad, right under the Laser Pointer Forums banner, be sure to check them out.
They carry the "Eagle Pair" brand of safety goggles, they're probably the most affordable good quality goggles around. :yh:

OK so I'm looking at $50-$70. Not to bad at all. You can't put a price on your vision! I'm a complete noob and I'm greener than grass when it comes to lasers but I'm not a fool. Thanks for the lead!

Yes safety glasses are a must, esp when you start getting into class 4 lasers. A few of the obvious no-nos for when you don't have glasses on are: Don't shine at mirrors, reflective picture frames, shiny metal, or white walls/floors/ceilings. Those surfaces will reflect that dot so bright you could do eye damage. So be mindful of where the laser hits(termination point)

Also Unless someone already told you this, try to avoid double posting, it is frowned upon here. if you have something to add to a post only a few minutes after posting, use the "Edit" button and add it :D
