Greetings from the milky way/earth/norway

Hi! I live here in the not-so-tropical norway, and have come here to your fantastic forum to gorge in your experience (because I dont have much).

So about myself... err... I like lasers, cars, model helis, model planes, computers and heating elements the most.

My first laser was a little 5mW, and I loved the effect it had on different surfaces so I started making my own a few years ago...

Today I broke my best DIY laser by replacing the old batteries with new ones...
I didnt think of checking what voltage they actually were before i popped them in. <-stupid!

Till now i have used red DVD lasers (who WILL burn black plastic quite well).
But now i want to stop teaching myself, swallow my pride and come here for your opinions, and massive brains?... :bowdown:

Oh yes and my favorite things are: My Peugeot 505 TI, my computer, my brother, Pizza, Urge (soda), milk chocolate (norwegian), general (snuff), fl studio (google is your friend) and fireworks!

Welcome to the forum! You'll find loads of info here about DIY builds, as well as parts, components, and lasers. Check out our faq's and stickies, as well as searching for specific info. Sams Laser FAQ is another great source of laser info. As you build or buy more powerful lasers, please keep in mind the need for appropriate eye protection and safe laser useage practices. You'll be lighting fireworks with a laser soon ...

O-like site is down again, at least now ..... and no, i never had to buy more than 3 items from them .....

Try to contact Susie, or in skpe, or via PM here, and ask her what happens ..... she usually reply as far as she can (but don't expect quick reply, anyway, they are in Hong Kong, and have different timezone and festive days)
