I sent the laser to the warranty and today my new laser arrived. Is a "Laser 303", labeled <500mW, It has a mode hopping problem during warm up, quite frustrating! But now I have a fully working one.

Is the mode hopping normal?

When cold:

TEM00 -> TEM01

When I heat it with my hands:

TEM00 -> TEM11 (I think, I can see tree dots) -> TEM00

But sometimes:

TEM00 -> TEM11 (I think, I can see tree dots) -> TEM00 -> TEM01

This case, I need to power it off and on to stay at TEM00

Good, Isn't a defective laser, only need a warmup and patience.

I found a good use to TEM01! When it is in TEM01, the output power is low, so I can use it to play with my dogs safely!
