Green laser pointer is not dot anymore - broken?

I don't want to buy lasers because I know it will be taken by customs.
Is there any "Punishment" if you try to order specific quantity of illegal stuff?
If you order from the right company (o-like, Rayfoss, LED shoppe, etc..) your lasers will not be taken by customs (unless you are in Australia). :yabbem:
The only "punishment" is that customs will confiscate your laser and leave you a nice little note. There are no "fines" or "tickets" involved in importing lasers into the US or Australia.
BTW: where are you located?

Finland. Last time I went to customs when they took my laser, they said the legal mW is 1mW and <1mW is illegal... and what do you mean by "If you order from the right company" ? this is getting interesting :yh:

I'm at a loss atm. From all you said it still seems to be dirt/contamination of one on the optics. Maybe there is a member near you that can take a look at it for you!!

I doubt it. hehe
edit: (sorry double post)

Some companies (o-like being one of them) will ship the laser with a 1mW sticker on it, and send the batteries separately (so customs can't check) if you ask them.
Also, on the customs declaration they usually put "flashlight for gift" with a value of ~$10, so it doesn't get red-flagged at the border.
This way, there is a greater chance of it passing through unchecked.
Oh and < means "less than" and > means "greater than"... I think you meant to say >1mW (greater than 1mW) is illegal, not <1mW (less than 1mW). :yh:

Hehe yeah, my english isn't so good ^^ my bad.
But isn't THAT illegal, to write something else on the package, what it really contains? :p I think I'm going to order one 50mW focusable flashlight style green laser pointer.
BTW how do I make sure that they send the package like saying 1mW laser and it contains flashlight or something... anyway they always ...umm... X-ray(?) all the packages :D I dont know what is the right word for it.

Usually a (non-penpointer style) laser looks no different than a flashlight if they x-ray it.
If you order from o-like, there is a place (on the order page) where you can leave instructions like "ship batteries separately", or "ship with 1mW sticker on it". They almost always put "flashlight" on the customs declaration anyway.
The Chinese don't care about "laws" of other countries.

Ok. One more thing. What do you mean by "and send the batteries separately (so customs can't check)" how does the checking affect sending batteries separately?
Aw there is always coming new questions, I want to know an answer to them >,<
Is there so big difference on 30mW and 50mW, because my 30mW can't light any matches even with focused on the focal point, it just burns the ignite material and starts smoking, but it does not ignite it. And 50mW can do it in a short period of time. thanks for information in advance ;)

Well. Most lasers (that aren't normal penpointer style) take special batteries (CR123's CR2's, 18650's, etc...) that customs agents usually don't have access to, so they can't power-on the laser to check what it is exactly, or see how powerful it is. :eg:
If we are talking about a regular pointer that takes AAA's (or AA's), then this won't do any good, as any lowly customs agent can find AA's. :shhh:
I recommend getting something like this:
www.rayfoss.com or this: www.rayfoss.com or this:
New cute pocket Green laser 50mW /adjustable [OLCGL50] - $34.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

DealExtreme (if you want to wait 1 week to 1 month):
are they 3.0V:
DealExtreme: $4.92 Nano Li-Ion Single 3.6V CR123A Charger
or 3.7V:
DealExtreme: $6.87 DSD 18650 CR123A Charger Black
Both of these work on 220-240V, you just need the adapter plug:

Ok thanks. But this New cute pocket Green laser 50mW /adjustable [OLCGL50] - $34.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products requires 3.6V battery, what if I use 3.7V ? Does it affect to the laser somehow.
And whatabout this laser? 50mW transformable green laser/adjustable/burning [OLV50] - $41.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products Does that look too much of a laser pointer when they x-ray this sy the border

Well. Actually most of these greens can be run with a battery from 3.6V to 4.2V. A 3.7V CR123 will work fine.
Well. Both lasers you linked to look more like flashlights than pen-style pointers, but you really can't be certain that the customs agents in your country won't open it just because "I" don't think it looks like a normal laser. Also, you can't be certain that they actually do x-ray every package that goes through.
I (personally) would get the second one and request that they (o-like) send the batteries separately.
