Green Laser Pointer Dismantle (NewWish type)

Do you have any calipers to measure the diameter of the brass assembly? I am hoping to use a Aixiz module in this as a host. Thanks!

i need help on getting the bare IR diode/driver board out becoz the button on it got jammed down and i need to pop it back up...any help on how to dimantle it.

it is the same laser as in the pic but mine is a 100mW.

Basically the whole lot comes out attached to the front silver head. To get it out you need to grip the barrel with molegrips, and the silver head in a vice (as this piece is a bit stronger). This means you'll scratch it all, probably quite a lot! Then you need to pull the barrel away from the head, while twisting it VERY SLIGHTLY from side to side, don't twist it too much as you may break the driver board on the button. If you look down the back of the barrel (spring end) as you're doing it you'll see what I mean. Then when its out, you simply unscrew the parts from each other to get to the optics and diode. However it sounds like you won't need to split those bits if it's just the switch you need to get to. You will more than likely need to change the switch, the spring contact wears out in them and they no longer click.
Good luck!

wow, thanks alot for the information will use, but i am tryin to still get the silver head off.

or get some pliers and a leather glove wrap the top and work it side to side and up and down should come loose easily Ive done a few like this just remember to wrap with leather so you won't scar the cap

hey i'm new to this forum, this thread it great!
i just bough a 30mw laser pointer and it the same time that yours,,, it is realy cool, and it has a ir filter, but the divergence of the bean it more than 1,2mrad so thats sucks,,, i try to fix this by moving the colminating lens,,, but i foun that imposible
i cut the frot cap, and i put the laser on a vice and i try to remove the fron colminating lens but it was imposible
i damade all the metal borders and the lent its on the same place,,, and by trying to hard i touch the lent with a screw driver and i damage the acrilic >:( ( see picture of the beam trough a axis lent)

is it posible to fix the focus by moving that lent or im just waisting my time ?
and also i have 2 axis modules,,, it the same focal lengh ? i can remove the cap if i destroy the actual lent, but i dont know if the axis can fit in there and if they are the same focal lengh

one last question, what is the output mw of the punping diode on 30mw laser pointers? and on 5mw ?
if i get a diode of a 30mw and i put it on a 5mw green laser ,,, it the same output? the crystals are the same ?

( sorry for my bad english )
