Green laser modules Back in stock!

Yeah I wanted to keep that module!

I asked for one like that but mine were both more normal...

You got a rare one for sure. It put out that power with a 3 volt primary! (not a rechargeable)

wow impressive results, i didnt even get that high of numbers with my laser meeter i dont think. But i also use batteries that have been laying around and probably half dead with an experation date of 2009 :)
I need to look into a solid 3v power adaptor for testing so i know im getting 3v all the time with the correct amount of current.

them aixiz power supplies will not work with the green modules, the current supply is only 500mA and most modules pull a lot more than that.

stuart :)

I am ordering one of these- and one at 5 vdc too-- ships fast from Houston.--hak............Power supply 110-240VAC 3.2VDC 500mA with clips - eBay (item 360192375313 end time May-22-10 06:14:57 PDT)
DUHHH my bad- thanks Stu for pointing that out- AND I should have searched as B-Badger gives a link to a kit from Sparkfun for $15 shipped to Tx. AixiZ needs to offer one with more currrent. 3.6 vdc/1000mA would be nice.

I paid on the 9th and have heard nothing back since. What's the word?

Yeah guys, it's been almost a week now after payment and nexbox360 seems to have disappeared. Not looking good.

Well i need to get this out in the open before to much time passes.

i bought one of those 3.6v dx style 200mw modules from nexbox360 off ebay for 91.00 dollars! stated these dx style modules were more reliable than the classic style module. it failed within 15 minutes. was going for a refund when i contacted him, but craig said he would rather exchange it for a classic 3.0v module. i explained that there was a cost difference of 15 dollars and asked him if he had spare parts laying around for lasers to make up the difference. he said he did, and would send along with the exchange unit. cool. i also ordered a second classic 3v module at that time. as i was planning on putting them in my projector, as a (matching modules) dual green 200 mw setup to compliment the other duals in there.. (see my album for pics)

ok so first off no extra goodies in the package, just the modules i ordered. 15.00 bucks..

second, visually inspected each module closely, taking pictures close up. first time i had owned the classic style laserlands modules, and 2 of the same to boot. when i noticed the first of several problems with one of the modules, the 9mm diode case lead was cold soldered to the driver board (bad connection) and right next door to that was the cap that goes accross the 808 diode, was broken and missing the other half!! and to boot the cap was soldered in like that! (see pics in album)

it was then i became pissed! my replacement module was not happy. i called him on his phone, told him whats up with the module, and we agreed that i would replace the broken cap and touch up the diode connections, then if id was dead i would send it back for another. if it did work he would toss some money in my paypal account (unknown amount) and asked for pictures. i repaired the module, sent pics of the defects along with my paypal account to him. he said he did not get the pics, so i put them in my album here.
thats where i left him. still no funds or compensation received. thats why i am throwing this out in the open..

but there is more... have a close look at the lens's on both modules, the second module with the issues, lens, is about half way inside the housing,, while the good one is right at the end, just like laserlands photo. it wasnt until later, when installing in the projector, i found out why.

the beam was off center on the second module (on with issues) so setting up for the knife edge beam combining dual 400mw green module assy to go in the projector, i had to remove driver boards, align expander lens on the second module, and mount them on the 3x2 inch base that fits on the TEC. this is when i found out why the lens was so close to the expander, the crystal's output surface was broken off!! 50% of the MCP's output coupler mirror surface gone. right down the middle sliced at approx 45degrees. so in short half of the output surface gone! thats the cavity! Enough said!

the modules draw around 813ma and 830ma for the second, out of the box. they work, they are in the projector, connected in series, so the current is the same for both, running at 775ma max. while ramping up the drive current, the second module lags in intensity until 75% (600ma) then it visually matches intensity. the assy modulates great! had to slow down the red and blue to match the dpss delay, using DZ's color correction board (this is a must have)

Whew, I have ran these modules for hours and hours with no problems. just want craig (nexbox360) to manup here, and do what you said you were going to do.
either this is a reminder or this is a slap upside the head. I'm done.

thanks for listening,
pat

still waiting on my blue diodes!!! and waiting and waiting....

Excerd, your modules have been shipped out and a pm was sent, again i apologies and thank you for your patience i hope you enjoy the modules.

Alfa romeo, i remember our phone conversation and thank your for being very patient and understanding, i also apreciate you resoldering the bad connections as i was not aware of those problems, you were the first person to tell me about that and sence then i have been checking them over before shipping and not just doing an output test.
As far as the one module having the lense farther down in the case i was not aware that it was a coverup for a defective module, if i had known i would have shipped it back to the factory. I have noticed that before and being that it puts out power and has a nice constant beam i thought everything was ok, so i would ship them. I again thank you for pointing this out to me as i am getting smarter everyday from what you guys tell me, im no laser expert or electrition and i only know the little that i read on and what you guys tell me, i do my best to take care of what i can.
I apologies for any bad experience you may have had with me and im doing my best to correct them as i can, i was not aware that you had the pictures posted on LPF forums i was waiting for them in my e-mail or get a message on here. Im not sure what happened but if you send me your paypal e-mail address in a pm with a link to the pictures i will gladly refund you an amount you should be very happy with. Again i apologies and i hope you are happy with what you got and the refund you recieve.
Thank you

When asked why my tracking number that was posted on Paypal just today did not work, since nexbox360 said my package shipped out on Monday, the story changed. Now the story is that his friend actually did not ship the package, though he originally told him he did. Which makes no sense at all, because why would someone post a non-working tracking number to Paypal today if it still hasn't shipped? Maybe trying to secure funds in PP?

I just want a module and no excuses. It's been a week now and it still hasn't shipped.

I replied to all the messages before I realized and checked my paypal to see the tracking results, when I logged onto paypal and realized there were no labels printed I printed the labels and called my friend found out they were just packaged and still in my house where I did not see them.
Like I said I as in the hospital for back problems I got emited and was unable to take care of anything I also missed a bunch of school. Look at my past history all packaged were shipped out the same or nextday. I'm sorry I was unable to ship your package ontime I tried to have someone else doit so this would not be a problem. I'm doing my best and you need to understand I'm a "one man band" things happen we do not expect, with me not having a lisence, going to school fulltime everyday, taking care of my grandma, going to physical therapy my time is taken up I don't have much time for myself asis.
If going to the hospital for backpain so bad I can't sit in a chair at school at age 23 doesn't sound serious toyou I don't know what else to tell you. Like I said I will refund your money or send the module out tomorow.
I don't know what you mean by the whole securing funds in PP as I have shipped all orders before the units are in stock and I don't need to rip anyone off to get money that's not what I'm here for.

Also after these lasers are gone that's it I'm done selling them I have to much going on to deal with impatient people who don't understand, I have done my best before and I continue too but as stated above its to much for me to handle, I'm not doing this to make a killing I was doing it for something to fillup my freetime now I'm going to school and the little money I make off this is not worth the time I could be using to relax and take a break.

Again I apologise and you can either take the refund or wait for it to get to you.

Look, I am a patient person. I will wait on the module.

The only reason I got upset is because the day I sent the money is the day communication stopped. One week later you tell me your story as if I was supposed to know the whole time that you were off somewhere and wouldn't be responding. If you would have communicated, the tension would not have been there. Like I said, through your posts, you stated that you were messaging from your phone. So it doesn't look good knowing that you can respond from anywhere, but didn't. Things happen, I know. Just communicate with your customers so they aren't left wondering for extended periods of time.
