Try adjusting the pot... it may be too high.

If you have a multimeter you can measure the current its drawing @ 3V. It should be drawing the current specified @ the specifications. Otherwise, it is not under normal conditions and is probably damaged/modified.

If you adjust the pot they may not take it back. Just send it back and get an Ebay green pen or module. 5 mW of 532 is plenty for 1 km. :beer:

I took it back and they tested it while I was there... They tried adjusting the pot and found that it was broken... When they tried adjusting it it just spun around... They ordered a new one and will test it when it arrives...
