I helped moved one which was about the size of the one on the right, maybe a little bigger. 3.4m diameter. One of the guys in the ham radio club got it for free, he plans to use it for EME on the 23cm (1.2GHz) band. EME meaning "Earth, Moon, Earth", i.e. using the Moon as a radio reflector in order to communicate with people here on Earth. Alaskan has some experience with EME (got a picture of that EME array handy, Alaskan?).

Not sure what anyone would need that many parabolic antennas though...

Although, there's some pretty crazy ham radio antenna farms out there.

Actually I have 4 Satellite dishes and a 40 foot tower
with an OTA TV antenna and security cameras at my
place...

The only antennae we have around our home are on my drone controllers.
We haven't had TV at our place for 25 years...

Hi,
Great replies didn't think many would indulge on this. The pic i posted was right on a busy city road right next to the street. Wondering how many complaints that received .

Reminds me of when I was younger, I would built massive antennas out of tinfoil and stripped coax cable to pick up more TV channels. Haven't done that since they turned off the analog broadcasts though.

Hi, BK,
Remember 13 channels of black and white with 2 UHF channels with the round antenna. Chiller theater, monty python, Don Kershners rock concerts, Million Dollar movie.

hahahaha, I remember that one ped....
and it is less than 800px wide for the forum.
Apologies but I think you'll understand if I don't quote you in my reply.

I think the photo in the OP is of a person who has a collection of parabolic reflector antennae. They don't seem to be pointed in any way that would be useful. He probably has a lot more in his back yard too.
