The only problem is switchers are a nightmare if at all to fix. I still think it's worth every penny. When do you think you will have another video?
Yeah, switchers, when they let go, its like somebody set off an M-100 firecracker inside a pinata *inside* a box. I had a reliant argon multiline that ate itself violently about ten years ago. The big caps went apart and fairly evenly distributed all the foil, Mylar and electrolyte in an even layer all over the insides of the head. Plenty of carbon tracking all over since the foil managed to contact other live parts on the circuit board resulting in secondary rounds of violence of an electrical nature. I managed to salvage the tube, the top fan, and the key. Everything else was trashed.
