I recently bought and received this:

500mW Laser Pointer - High Power Laser Pointer Kit

Now, here's the question.......if I can have an extension tube fabricated to hold an additional battery, would I get more out of the pointer or would it damage it?

I hope that's not a crazy question but you guys are the experts.

Thanks,
Ponz

Simple answer.... No. You will probably damage the Boost Driver
if you double the input voltage.

I highly doubt that the 532nm Laser will produce 500mW of Laseer
power for that price..:cryyy:

I doubt it too Jerry. I'm contemplating sending it to a forum member for testing, just beacuse....

Depends if the driver can take the extra voltage; it probably can't though. Also, if the driver could take the extra voltage you likely wouldn't see an increase in power output unless the cell you are using now can't handle the current draw.
