I would buy yours but its not the power output I am looking for, I am mainly using my scanner in my room which isnt that big.

That one is defiantly not cheap... there is cheaper out there.

it doesn't. All that thing is is a basic switchmode current regulator and a IR diode and crystal assembly in a housing. Not one component on that board has anything to do with anything other than regulating power.
