getting perfect alignment and perfect colour match

Re: getting perfect alignment and perfect colour m

Won't the multimode beam detract from the overall beam quality? I'd look rather silly to have a white beam actually look like:

Re: getting perfect alignment and perfect colour m

the 635nm will have a massive beam but theres not much i can do about that.

it will be used for beam shows only

He combines blue and red, If you had actually bothered reading what he said.

Nice again Andy, you never fail to impress ! ;)

I would think that a pink beam would result from a white beam with with a little extra red in it....seems you'd just get purple from blue and red, though.

Re: getting perfect alignment and perfect colour m

each laser is analogue modulation so i can adjust the power of each to mix red and blue to get pink

I guess you'll have to adjust the divergence of the other colors to match.

That probably wont hurt the show aspect that much though, beams in mid air often look good even if they are a bit wider than usual. If you want to project graphics onto screens or walls i guess its a different story however.

Re: getting perfect alignment and perfect colour m

no cos if i make the beams bigger they wont look at bright

a really really tight 600mw 650nm beam will look just as bright as a big fat 300mw 635nm beam
