what wavelength IR does blu ray lasers emit? i know that green emits 1064 but does purple emit 810?

because my purple 5 mW burns better than my green 50 mW module. Maybe its because the IR is farther? the only way i could burn was adjusting the focus and the focal point burned everything it touched, but before that, without it focused, when i point it below my nose, i feel a lot of heat and same with my arm. But when i use my 25 mW green, i didnt feel anything... any reason why?

Hey guy -- you really need to read. Use the search button...........

RED and BR are DIODE lasers and DON"T have an IR component. Read about IR and DPSS ---- PLEASE-

Your Blu-ray isn't 5mW, companies will say its 5mW because they can't sell anything over that to usa (without a key & tons of safety features).
Your Blu-ray is maybe 30-90mW I would think. A 50mW Blu-ray will Look way way dimmer then a 50mW green because our eyes can't see Blu-ray 405nm well at all.
Blu-rays produce no IR at all.

Please don't point any laser of any power near your face. :umbrella: With chinese made lasers you can't be certain of the real power without a Laser Power Meter. They may be under powered or way overpowered. People have reported 50mW greens that are really pushing over 100mW. And most green lasers spew out a wider beam of IR that can damage your eyes.
