Keep celebrating. The market futures are much lower now with the Dow down more than 750 points, the Nasdaq more than 900 and the S & P more than 200. YIPPIE!

Why don't you buy all you can beg, borrow or steal to get. ;)

Do you want me to close this thread? Seems thats what you want me to do. You and Redcowboy seem to just want to attack eachothers party. Paul you keep posting supposed news and then laughing at others misfortunes.
 
paul and I were happily giving each other a hard time in PM's before this thread was re-opened and YES we enjoy giving each other grief as well as exercising our Freedom of Speech Rights.

We are both angry about politics and trying to piss each other off is therapeutic, it's a form of venting that involves actual facts and we share information and perspective as well, I think the few members we have left actually enjoy reading our.... stuff.

I can understand and abide by:
No Threats
No Cursing
No personal attacks
No name calling

But what else do you want ?
I don't see where we have broken any of those rules, I've not even corrected paul's grammar or used multiple emojis at your request.

Seems to me you just want to close this thread...... so close it, or come up with a set of rules that don't involve your opinion of what's an attack or an argument, because we have not broken the rules above.

I have attempted to review the TOU to see if there is something I am missing, but the link is dead.


p.s. Please remember this is the FightClub that you made for us to Fight in and not in the rest of the forum.

Let me put it this way. There is no freedom of speech here. This is not America. This is a forum privately owned. Secondly this is a news thread not Pauls and Redcowboys personal attack thread. Does that clear a few things up?
 
The problem with you two is that no matter how many times you're told not to get personal you ignore it and I keep putting up with it. I'm not going to get brought into a political debate with you about this.

On the market downturn news.
Technically speaking I believe any temporary downturn in the market caused by tariffs will be well worth it in the long run and lower securities prices means positions ( shares ) are easier to acquire and with a greater rebound profit potential, so I don't see any significant downside and long before midterms I expect quality of life in America will be improving under Trump's plan.

Oh, absolutely! Get in on the ground floor. Unfortunately, Trump's ground floor has miles of basement beneath it.

The Dow futures has now lost 1069 points for 2.5% loss, while the Nasdaq has a 3.5% loss and the S & P a 4.5% loss.
 
Looks like Canada escaped the worst of this latest round of tariffs.

All this tariff chaos has sure helped the Liberals here though. Only three weeks to go until our election and a Liberal majority looks quite likely.

Trump has actually put a 10% tariff on Heard and McDonald Islands which have no people there. They are Antarctic volcanic Islands that are volcanically active. Take that you penguins!

OH JEEZ! The Senate passed a stop to Trump's tariffs today with four Republicans joining Democrats to do so. But, the House had already seen this coming and passed a resolution stating that the entire year is now a single day. Otherwise, it would have to come to a vote there if not brought up after a few days. Let's see how long Speaker Johnson can get away with this.
 
In order for a bill to become law, anything that passes in the Senate must also pass in the House, then be signed by Trump or if Trump exercises his VETO power, then it takes a 2/3 majority, so don't get your hopes up.
 
Dumbass Donald still needs the approval of the voters. That was my point. In the end he may have no choice.
 
Tariffs are an investment in our future, the immediate pain will fade and in a short time we will be better off.
Imagine ending income taxes...... but I suppose liberals don't want to end income taxes, as it's part of democrats redistribute the wealth scheme.

That's nonsense! Tariffs are a tax on Americans. If any country could make another pay its taxes don't you think that would have happened by now? Trump is an idiot!
