Because investors are interested in making profit NOW and in the FUTURE but you don't always do both the same way.

Lets say Trump raised tariffs and no exclusions, then I sell short.
This doesn't mean that I don't want Trump to invest in Americas future.

You can't conflate investment in Americas future via. tariffs to force fair trade with investments in the market, the two are very different things.

It's like saying there is a shortage of apples, so I'm not investing in an apple juice factory, but I am investing in planting apple trees..... to you paul it may seem counterintuitive..... actually I suspect you do know better.

Now if there is an abundance of apples, I won't be investing in planting apple trees, but that doesn't mean I won't invest in apple juice, because even though it will be cheaper, people will be buying more of it.
 
And a lot of that is due to EPA nonsense, we cut off our feet to spite our shoes, it's stupid.
Trump is fixing that too because climate change is not ending the world, it hasn't and it won't. it a manufactured narrative to control people and spend gobs of tax money to keep a democrat party in power and fund a globalist agenda.

It was a Republican who brought the EPA into existence. You guys have always said one thing while doing another. Trump's popularity is so far under water even in the economy he is down fifteen percent or more depend on the poll. And courts are ruling against his illegal efforts consistently.
 
The handful of little district court political activist judges are ruling beyond their authority, however the SCOTUS is ruling in Trumps favor, Big Daddy Trump Wins.
