Hi all,
I'm going to be buying a few new lasers in the near future, and the two I'm set on so far are the 150mW and 10mW Violet lasers from O-like. I've read good things about them and am looking forward to purchasing them. However I'd also like to add a higher powered green laser to my laser arsenal (I have one 5mW greenie), and I am not sure which to buy. O-like offers two I would consider purchasing, namely the Pocket compact Green laser 50mW [OLPG50] - $28.00 : O-Like, Quality Products, Great Prices and the Silver chrome green laser pointer 50mW [OLSGL50] - $29.99 : O-Like, Quality Products, Great Prices .
These seem to be reasonable prices, but I also saw this laser from focalprice.com (where I bought my goggles) that caught my attention: Focalprice.com offers 100mW 532nm Green Laser Pointer (Black) ,d(
It is cheaper than both from O-like with twice the power output, but seems to be the same style as the o-like portable. Although I've seen reports that focalprice lasers are grossly overrated on their site, like a 100mW actually outputs around 30-50. Does anyone have any suggestions about these 3 greenies or any other alternatives?

My main concerns with all the green lasers is their IR emission; it is my understanding that most manufacturers do not add IR filters (a notable exception being novalaser.com). How much IR exposure do I have to worry about in green lasers that are rated at 50-100mW? I have goggles that protect from overexposure to the violet/blue/green spectrum, but they offer no IR protection that I know of.
Any and all help/input/suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Be sure to read the rules and stickies too. ;)

I have included a handy guide to assist you in finding what you need. ;)

Ok I searched up on the IR thing...and I think it would be extremely hard to be exposed to IR from a green laser without pointing it or reflecting it such that it directly hits one of your eyes... While it's possible I don't think I would be exposed enough, especially since I will mainly be using this laser for star pointing and general nighttime debauchery with lasers.

So no suggestions on which laser to buy? I think I will go with the O-like 50mW pointer, then I don't have to deal with CR2 batteries and can just use my AAA NiMH rechargeables.
