There is shady advertizing going on with #2. It's called blue, pictured as blue, but we all know 405nm is purple. It's plain wrong to advertize like that, it appears gearbest is trying to deceive the uninformed customer.

The add no longer contradicts itself, but is the laser actually blue or is it purple. I've never seen anyone offering a 445nm laser for under $10, unless you have access to extremely cheap blue diodes I doubt if I ordered it I would receive a blue laser. I would be willing to bet that if I ordered it I would get a purple laser, but if they are in fact blue, at that price I would buy several.

which one is it purple or blue ? kinda vague information almost 60nm difference.... my guess its 405 i also doubt there are that cheap true 445 diodes out there.

if they are low powered 450 diodes then there is no way that it can be so cheap, only the diode itself cost like 50$ or more.. a 1mW 450 on laserbtb pen it costs 60$ to give an idea.. they are low powered but not cheap.

My guess would be 405. Those are very cheap and common. Most "low power" ebay 405s are still 70- 100 mW though...:beer:

It's probably a 405 that's been mislabeled. That color label is used with 405s.

Hi guys, the supplier told us that the 2# should be the 405nm (the pictures are our website taking, it seems a little more like blue), in order to make it be more sure, is any one willing to help test this item's wave length with the equipment? :wave:We can send it for free to test.[/COLOR]

Well im pretty sure you just need a decent set of eyes to pick out 405nm from a slight variation range of 445 nm. Which with my young eyes ide love to sample some lasers and let you know! . Edit. There a million more respected members here that can give you far more knowledge that i currently can. I just love lasers

would be willing to test it for you.

You havent added my vote from post no. 24 (12.11).

A spectrometer is not really needed to test the wavelength. If you are unsure shine it next to a 445; you could also use a diffraction grating to test.:beer:
