GB oemlasersystems goggles (CLOSED)

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

The KRR has an OD5+ in the wavelength you require. This means that:

InputPower * 10^(-5) = OutputPower

With a maximum safety output power of 5mW, these goggles would be good for input powers up to:

5mW / 10^(-5) = 500W (that's full watts, not milliwatts)

You should be fine.

I'd have to advise the guy testing against a pair of KRR's with a 500 W 635, to be wearing a set when he shoots the video. Poor camera might need some too, along with every pilot in the vicinity :)

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

Can you imagine everything on his face getting charred from the beam except what is behind the goggles (at least for 10 seconds anyway)?

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

hahaha that would be terrible... but kinda funny. Like insta-tan char

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

Seems like I'll be fine if I don't get anything only used in the military lol. 500W is a lot Oo

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

"gosh I wish red would become cheap, and I dont mean knife edging mitsubishi diodes. $1000 for 500mw."

"What??? your kidding right? I've got 500W of red in my projector. I've got to dial it right back in quickshow just to match my 1W green!"
*turns on red laser full power*

**POW** instant hole in wall :P

"sh1t where did my galvo mirrors go?"

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

I've picked up some extra red diodes in some of my dvd burners... I'm tempted to combine the beams for a 1W+ beam...

that aside, we're super close to our 25 goggles. If you or someone you know needs some goggles, this is a fantastic deal that FrothyChimp has offered us. I think last time they needed 30+ for the 25% discount.

I have no doubt we'll hit it, but if you want in on this, you'll have to get in now or before I order anyways... After we've hit 25 I will give about 2 weeks to get payments in... but ultimately I won't order until everyone's paid.

I will keep the list on the OP updated so everyone knows who to yell at. ;)

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

LOL well I'll be using up the 2 weeks for sure - I'll have my payment in early on the 28th :)

But dont count me out as I definatly need these glasses.

I dont know why a heap of people didnt jump on this. My sets cover most wavelengths that I am going to encounter in both handhelds and a projector, and it costs about the same as a fancy 445 build after the 25% off.

I won't count you out. We all need you for our 25% off! :D

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

hehe yep could do it this week, but then I might be without light for a fortnight (power bill just arrived :P)

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

What do you mean without light? You have some lasers to keep you company! :D

j/k I know your pain. I hate my gas bill... no insulation in this place.

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

Sorry my Dad used to always call the bill the light bill, not the power or electricity bill. I seem to have taken on that saying as well.

Actually I DON'T have any lasers at the moment. I sold my pointer, my labby for the projector isnt finished, and I dont have the argon yet, and the 473 doesnt lase.

But next week my mate is bringing over his 445 build for me to inspect, and a green pointer I gave him so I can use it to check some basic alignment in my projector.

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

Does your friend have goggles? ;) I know of a great place to get some right now.

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

LOL yes he has. I made him get some before I would help him with it :P

he has the eagle pair? ones.
