GB CLOSED: DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

Re: GB Feeler DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

YAY the first commitment!

regards,

Re: GB Feeler DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

Yeh im sick of buying them large PCB's and then putting the parts on and cutting it to size. The dust smells and its also a hastle having to wire the components on the back. I might buy more but first i wanna see how well i can put these together

Re: GB Feeler DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

I am in for (3), preferably with the solder mask.

Re: GB Feeler DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

if u dont use a pot, will that affect the life of the diode, or is it just so that u can give the diode less power

the pot is just there to add resistance and give less power to the diode. it will not affect diode life.

NOTE: I can only make one big order at a time, so you will have to decide whether or not you all want soldermask. I will most likely do a 2nd run.

added more pics!! check first page

Re: GB initiated: DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

What are the dims of the board itself when it's finished?
I'm planning a few projects and if I can get measurements of the board i'll see if it will fit my needs.

Re: GB initiated: DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

I will take 5 for now but i might order more b4 this is over!

o and i dont really care about the solder mask as its extra $$

everything is on the first couple posts.

26 guys, almost at 30!!!

Re: GB initiated: DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

hey amk dont the resistors have to be tied in parralell to make 5 ohms not like line/ line to connect them

they are in parallel.....

there are 2 resistors in paralell, and the two in parallel are in series with the pot. exactly as in DDL's schematic. so you can have 2 10ohms in parallel to got 5ohms, and then the 5ohms would be in series with a pot, and you could set the pot to 1ohm, giving a total resistance of 6ohms, so you could run a windowless IR.

you could also just have the resistors in parallel, and then no pot.

don't worry about the PCB, all the kinks have been worked out ;) rckstr was one of the main ppl who helped me.

Re: GB initiated: DDL driver "plug n' play boards"

just another thing to add, these are a few mm smaller than the fusion drives. the only difference is this is a DDL driver, and it costs less :P (these can also output basically anything from 1ma to 1.5A, fusion drives only go up to 360mA, from what Ive heard)

amk

I'm down for 3 normal if I can pay paypal.

everyone vote weather they want soldermask or normal.
