GB 445nm diodes For Sale $45

I'm also curious as to if these diodes are tested before they're extracted. I know i've read threads on PL of extractors saying they see a 1-5% failure rate for the diodes in the projectors BEFORE they ever extract the LD's. So about 1 in 4 projectors has a bad or under performing LD in it.
 





That's the nature of just about any large set of diodes you work with. GaN diodes are still being developed and are constantly being improved. 1-5% failure is not too shabby considering the cost we get the diodes for, thanks to guys like Glenn!
 
They were all tested from the first 4 batches after extraction, but I don't think I can test all ongoing. Also, sorry, I am going out of town so, I'll be back tomorrow evening.

Patience is a virtue :) ...although seeing the pics of beam shots from these lasers is making me feel like a child on the day before Christmas... I'm just happy that I'll finally get to use the Dorcy Metal Gear host I purchased last year.

Got my diodes today also. The uranium glass is much appreciated. That will give me something to play with while I continue to wait on 445nm lenses.
 
Be aware of scattered light, these puppies really do pack alot of power! :D
 
Have mine shipped yet? Thinking of adding a couple of PHR's to the order if it hasn't.
