Gas lasers still relevant?

Hello everyone, I have a simple question, which is in today's Diode laser times, are Gas lasers still relevant?

I have a box of gas lasers, red and green which came from various industrial processes, just wondering what, if anything can be done with them these days?

I'm not all that interested in tinkering with them and will probably just end up selling most of them.
 





Henes are still in production in at least 7 places I know of.. Not dead yet, and Co2 has literally blossomed.
 
Just remember that you must meet a 20 laser related minimum post count before selling. But we're pretty chill here so they don't have to be laser related. Hope you stay around
 
Hey everyone, I'll put some pictures up tonight.

Unown - Yea I saw that rule, I'm not trying to circumvent it or anything, just gauging whether there's any point in doing anything with thse lasers. Seems a few people are interested so I'll try to be a little less anti-social and put some more posts up :)

From memory the lasers are all Either Melles Griot or another brand that escapes me right now. The Green ones are about 18" long and I only have a couple of Red ones (from memory) which are about 12" long. I have drivers for them all too.
 
Ok I don't mean to be a stickler for the rules but he is not allowed to sell yet guys. MrLaser can you just make 13 crap posts? Otherwise I gotta shut this thread down. It's ok if it's just jibberish, I'll allow that.

I'll do my best to comply, everyone please note I'm NOT selling at the minute but I note that there are people interested, I will abide by the forum rules and don't really want to just post absolute garbage unless I have to.

I'm currently working away from home but once I'm back I will try to sort everything out. Thanks for the heads up Unown.

Not asking you to sell or for a price yet or nothing. I'd just really, really like to see the greens. Getting in here, so if you post a pic of them, I can see!!! Show me some laser porn!!! I wanna see those greens!! :p;):LOL:
