I have an extra Sharp SB1573N91 measured at 502.6nm. This one is case positive.

Asking $50 shipped within the U.S, extra fees for international shipping.
 





Congrats on even finding one of these available, if you get it that is. They are definitely scarce these days. I'm glad I got mine while they were still available.

"Still"? I was waiting out until the thing about <505 vs >505 thing settled with some suppliers that I then get them from. Are you saying they're history and I'm waiting for naught?
 
The SB1573N91’s are definitely gone which was a guaranteed <505nm, now we have SB217HL91 which seems to be a draw of luck between 505nm or <502nm.

I will sell some measured SB1573N91 (<503nm) and some SB217HL91 (505nm) in some days. But I have to agree with Dr.Laser that the time of guaranteed <505nm is over for now. Maybe someday a 500nm batch will show up.

Anyone knows any driver capable of running one of those SB1573 or SB217HL/HN from a single li-ion battery?

This is just too horronic. Ironic because all my life I've been on the lookout for 505nm (LEDs), but a year ago when I last checked for lasers there were only very expensive 520nm. (And I never had hoped to see 505nm lasers in the first place, because what's the application? The color can't be mixed and traffic lights use LEDs anyway.) When I saw 505nm on DTR's I thought, miracle come true! Horror because then they turned out to be 510nm+ and I'm too late for 'real' 505.
 
@albert - DTR sells the nano drive which can run these at 275mA with a single cell. Dont go for something low capacity though.

@zomb I think their newest batch is more along the lines of 505nm. No clue what the application is, if any, for these diodes though...

The nano driver works for the case neutral ones (SB147EC91 (~508nm) and SB1473N91 (~503nm), selling DTR the C91), but not for the case positive ones (SB1573N91, SB217HN91 and SB217HL91), for these three only the blitz's linear driver is known to work.

Oh shoot, I completely forgot about the case positive issue on these new ones.

Could maybe do something with a 20mm module (better duty cycle) with thermal conductive tape & nylon tipped screws? I've had a DPSS module isolated that way a few years back. Apart from that I guess we don't really have any drivers for 100mW diodes. I blame the 445's, everyone wants POWER... with lazeerer MIA the driver supply has whittled down to what little we have today...
 
I have an Aixiz thermal-glued in Leadlight. I had to add a spring from the driver to make contact with the barrel before it worked. Thermal glue is a good electrical insulator, it's designed that way even. Cheapest i know of: €1.80 (farnell, digikey, etc start at €30)
