Looking to sell or even do some trading for a high output 520 diode and driver module setup.
I don't care much if there's no host..

There's a C11 host "maby knock off" side clicky button with a NUM44 and SXD at 4A.
The green rougher texture host seems to be a thicker cast type of aluminum.
This was built for me by "Lifetime17" when I first joinned and I wanted it 4A to keep it safe "before I knew these 44's were beasts and could easily do more comfy"
I forgot exactly but it was in the 5W's++ with the G2.. DTR's brand new NUM44 but the version right before the new 81's and new SXD that has a pot.
Takes 2 18350's..... I did though find out that the tube from a "Harbor Freight" cheap 9 LED flashlight has the same threading and could with some tinkering make this C11 hold 2 18650's.. or even 2 20700's or 21700's..

Also a S4 host with a extra extention tube and can hold 2 18650's, extended tapered copper heatsink with a M140 at 1.6A and 3 element lens.
Also put together from a Survival Laser's kit by "Lifetime17"

You can see a pattern when I was new with under driving my diodes just a bit for a little protection to a longer life.
I didn't realize also just how great Lifetime17 was and would of always covered me.

I would say neither unit has 10 total hours of run time, probably closer to 2 hours.
I also didn't polish the S4's copper sink but there is some shiny copper to be seen..

I have a 405nm diode in that same C11 host. It has a huge aluminum heat sink and I used it after losing a diode in my original host. Good luck with your sale, Peter. You will like the 1 watt 520nm diode.

Wow Paul, that is some nice sinking for a 405.:) I had the one 1W 520 but it was in a Star Trek Phaser build that I sold and do kinda regret it.
So i'm wanting another now:whistle:

I don't blame you. I built my first one using an NDG7475 less than a year ago. I got a deal I couldn't refuse on the diode on eBay. IIRC, ~$85.00. It does 1100 mW in an MS-SSW-II host.

Good luck with your sale GSS, I wait and score my 1w greens at auction when possible but the prices have come down, the nugm03's I have seem to be holding up very well de-canned, I had also read that it's only the multi watt output blues that suffer accelerated degradation when run de-canned and from what I have seem that seems to be the case and you can usually get the 03's for less money and they are actually more efficient also it appears to be 525nm rather than 520 which ads a little to perceived brightness per mw although there is something I like about 520nm, it's a bit more blue green where 525 is a bit more yellow green, but only enough that you can see it when comparing side by side, stand alone it's not really noticeable, both look great, enjoy. :)

:)Good so you actually noticed first hand that the Gball 520's are lasting decanned. Red do you think you have had them long enough at this point to really see no degrading?
DTR's NDG700's and 7475's are coming down in price and it looks like he's out of the NUG01 and 02's. I really want the comfort of a canned diode but seeing the prices are decent at auction for a Gball now isn't a deal breaker. 520's color is nicer forest green but any green at 1W is nice..
How many 03's have you gotten and was the spot/divergance all over the place?
DTR also seems to offer the 2 element lens with the typical G2, and now G8 at check out and left the 3 element option out. Not that I couldn't get it but what is he on too, the coating?

I have several and they have not lost any output in 6 months of regular use, make sure to buy ( NEW or NEW other ) not refurbished if you buy at auction as the refurbs are likely pulls from used light engines.

That said I can't say for certain about long term although they look good, usual amount of artifact/spray, I just bid 43 dollars on a nugm03 and someone else sniped it for 44 dollars, others sold about the same and ndg7475's sold for 81 dollars at auction just now, techhood is selling at ebay auction again so take a look, some more will end in 8 hours.

This is a nugm03 de-canned with a 2 element and I am using a 20mm module on the end with some black cardstock inside to soak up a little peripheral spray that the 2 element had, it's doing right at 990 - 1000mw at 1.8a, I could push it harder but I had some sxd 1.8a drivers on hand, I think I paid 45 dollars at auction for the diode and bought the host from Rich, on my LPM it's output is stable but I only run for 30 seconds duty cycles, sometimes a minute, it's a great diode, very bright with a visible spot/bar in the daylight seen in the trees for hundreds of meters as long as I point at the shady areas which is impressive, with a 3X beam expander it paints a nice spot as far as you want.

Oh yeah I remember this host and build:)
Sounds good on the non degrading part and the way you run your diodes:eek:, mine will be a walk in the park. I realize just open air time might degrade a blue decanned Gball..
I just lurked a little bit on ebay and found no auctions on NDG700's as even if it's 700mW+ with a 2 or 3 element that would still be fine for me.
Saw a few auction 7475's and M01 to M03's but are mostly from China or Tiawon. Didn't notice or really looked if it was techood because as soon as I saw China the shipping wait kinda turned me away..

Hi
For a 6++ W blue the NUBMOA is fine with no g ball that diode has no out gas . Most of them run about 6.4/ 6.8 at 4A/ 4.5A with a G2. The NUBMO3’s no g ball run at 1.2W/1.4W at 1.8A G2

:)Wow Rich, these M03's are running just about as strong as a NDG7475 without the Gball removed even at 1.8A?
Very good to know:eek:

What does the beam look like on a decanned NUGM03? It is comparable to the NDG7475? I have not yet tried any ball lens greens, but with the price at auction coming in so low, it seems like a possibly good choice.

The de-canned NUGM03 has the same divergence as the ndg7475, I have both with a 2 element lens and have checked the bar length at distance, they are exactly the same as far as divergence.
