Good deal... The only other thing, is to make sure your spring and switch assembly cannot short against the inside of the host...

i made sure it's not touching
also, i turned it on with just the 2 aaa's to make sure that the circuit is complete, and it works

one thing, though; do you know of a good way to secure a spring on the tailcap?

Just bend and re-shape it so that it can be kind of 'pressed' in place and it should be just fine...

As long as it won't fall out on it's own weight.
