The 4 'key' parts you must have are shown in my first picture...

* Push button tail cap
* Barrel
* Head
* Head Retaining Ring (reflector retaining ring)

The push button tail cap is an upgrade item, and is essential for this build.

Very nice Jayrob, i have often wished for a maglite laser host (proper host... replacing the bulb with a laser diode ala kipkay does not qualify in my book! although i did try this and destroyed 2 perfectly good red diodes in the process, DOH!)

I will be ordering one as soon as i can get my wife to release funding :)

whats the INNER (around the threads) diameter of your tailcaps Jay? a buddy of mine has an entire box of them... if they are the right size, im sure he'd let that damn box go on the cheap. hate looking at it anyways.

Darkarm... the tail caps are fit for the stock Mini Mag.

I just received my Terra Lux tail cap to try out and I must say that I like it much better than the Nite Ize switch.

The Terra Lux switch requires more pressure to 'click' it on or off. Nice smooth finish too!

All of your questions are answered in the first post. :) If you are sending me a Mini Mag 'center section' to modify, I can include a tail cap with the heatsink and sleeve for an extra charge. First read the post, get a list of what you need, and them PM me...

The 14500 is the same physical size as a AA battery, but it is a 3.6 volt lithium rechargeable...

I tried looking at comparisons for the size (and I was too lazy to look up the size), but how small is it? Smaller than an average hand palm?
