Received mine. :-/ While soldering the power leads I accidentally twisted the + pin on the diode. It spun in the can and broke the hair thin wire going to the die itself. I never got to see it even glow. Now everybody will it back to life.

Sorry to hear that. :(
Even if you can solder the thin wire but it may not withstand the heat and melt the solder joint.

BTW I can solder the wires for you by request. ;)

Got mine Saturday and built the laser yesterday. Running it at 422mA. Thanks a lot TheMonk.
