That is a very nice laser but I am going to have to pass, but I really appreciate the offer. I am looking for a host that will give a longer duty cycle. Like the sanwu spiker series.

No worries bud! I can't blame you at all; I'm saving my pennies for the Sanwu 1.6 watt 405nm multimode in the original Challenger host myself. Their lasers are top notch! Especially those awesome duty cycles on the spiker and the silver series lol unlimited run time with 3 watt+ diodes is nuts! Science rules haha

Thank you my friend! I really would have hated letting an Eghemus host go, but I'm an unbelievable sucker for side click hosts. I tried forever to find someone to build me a high power 405nm with a momentary side button but all I ended up getting was robbed -___- I'd still love to find someone to do that build for me one day!

Haha that 1.6 watt 405 is the second laser I want lol. Half the divergance of a m140 diode I read. For a mulimode that ain't half bad

Well, it was Alex Barnett and I never even actually got it but I had paid him for it already. I know he was going through some tough family stuff and even ended up getting incarcerated so I kinda just tried to feel for him & chuck it up as a loss. He'd built two lasers prior to that for me with my payment first and never did me wrong. But then his brother came around saying he was going to help everyone that was still owed & people started getting reimbursed except me which was a little irritating. Alex did actually message me back in November (ngl I had sent him TONS of messages) and apologized saying he'd get me back but now I'm back to having my messages ignored. This ordeal started a little over a year ago so I'm over it now, but it still bums me out that my main builder did me like that. Especially since if he just got a hold of me I'd prolly still try to do business with him. Can't lie that his quality was on point!

Damn I didn't know the divergence was that good! Do you know if they're as sensitive as the single mode 405's? I've LED'd six out of the nine high power violet lasers I've owned and I treat my lasers like babies. I usually run them for half the recommended duty cycle or less and I use good cells. I must have the worst luck with them which sucks because it's my favorite wavelength!

Thank you man I appreciate that. I suppose I at least didn't get caught up in the notorious Sci-Fi lasers scandal! I know a lot of people got super duped in that whole bad situation. I only lost about a hundred bucks

I actually bought this and for under $40 you can't beat it. Took almost two minutes before it even starts getting warm and it burns everything!

You got it. Nice job, laserdreads. Yeah, those single mode 405nm diodes are hot. The S06J and the BDR-209 are great diodes and dirt cheap, too. You just have to not try to really over drive them, like trying to get 1 watt out of the BDR-209 or 800 mW out of the S06J.

I actually have the Sanwu 4W 470nm multi mode, in the Silver series host with the grooves and grid handle. Only a few hours of use on it. Would be interested in talking about the possibility of a trade in PM, if that interests you!
