I'm beginning to get paranoid. It seems like others in the US who bought one received theirs in less than a week. Mine was shipped 10 days ago and it still says this on their tracking site:

I have mentioned it numerous times that the CP
number is a delivery confirmation number and not
a Tracking number... You might as well use a lottery
number to track it...

As I told you a few times already... you will loose nothing...
The package is insured and on it's way... We haven't
lost one yet...

Your LaserBee was shipped on May 30 2011.... as it was
posted on this Thread...
We printed out the Label on May 28 2011.
It has only been 8 business days since it was shipped...
And as I have mentioned numerous times... It can take
10 to 15 business days to get to a USA Location.

Then add the possibility that it may have been snagged
by the CP Strike...:undecided:

It's not like you were waiting for medication.... or
a new replacement human Organ...:eg:

I ordered a kidney on ebay once. It came from Thailand. It smelt kind of funny when it arrived. Definitely not a fun process.

Hi all, New to the forum. Just purchased one of the USB LaserBee LPM's. I've been looking for just an old used LPM on ebay (off and on) an never came across anything this nice that could be counted on to work. Another ebay'er pointed me toward this forum... glad he did!
Should make for an interesting site.
Anxiously awaiting that LPM!! I'll be patient though...:yh:

Quick question: how would one go about cleaning the thermopile surface if it gets dirty?

Would a cotton tech cloth with 99% isopropyl alcohol work?

I know the pdf on the disk says to blow dry air over it, but not everything can be cleaned off with dry air. :undecided:

First.... why would your thermopile's sensor surface ever get so
dirty that you would need to use a cloth if you treat it as a highly
sensitive device which it is...:thinking:

The only thing that I can see depositing on it's vertically stationed
surface would be a small amount of air borne dust that can easily
be removed by some medium velocity dry dry air...

The surface has a broadband thermally resistant texture that you
will destroy by rubbing it with a cloth and alcohol...

We store all our sensors in a drawer face down when not in use.

Ah okay. I was just wondering because my workspace isn't exactly the most organized or well-kept of places, and accidents happen (not long ago I managed to get some screw-tightening fluid into the lens of my red laser. I have no idea how it even happened :wtf. I guess I should be really careful with storing+using it, then. I'm currently keeping it in the box it came in.

Good Idea to store it in the Shipping box...
If you would have let us know in advance about your
work area... we could have supplied a Roll Cage and
spit/fluid screen for about $300.00 extra...:na::crackup:

Just treat it like an expensive and sensitive piece of
calibrated Test Equipment... It's a LOT cheaper and
quicker to take the time to take care of it than send
it back for repair....
