If it runs on a single 3.7V battery, the laser probably has a boost or flex driver in it.
You CANNOT power it with two CR123 batteries!

The voltage limit on the boost and flex is 5.5V. Two CR123's would be a minimum of 6V. With rechargeable 123's it would be even higher

Using 2 CR123's will burn out the driver

whats stopping you from increasing the power on it, unless you want 500mW specificaly? driver info would be handy too

It has a flexdrive v5 in it, you are welcomed to put it where you wish, It's just a small pot..

Price reduced to $250 shipped CONUS. Maybe I was too high. FONDUMAN was right, you can open it up and turn the flexdrive to whatever you wish at your own risk. It should reach 900-1000mW.

Be careful-unless the driver is heatsinked turning it too high can damage it, especially with the flexdrive. I love this host though, it feels great!
