That is actually not true sir I am newly a proud owner of just such a diode. It's the Osram PLT4NSB, and it's a 450nm single mode 80mW diode.
EDIT: Well, I guess with the word "common" in there, it might be.

But on topic - this is an awesome looking laser. Someone buy it already!

OK, quite teasing me. I want to see what a 450 single mode looks like!
