FS: 245mW 650nm Laser Diodes - $25

The SLD1236VL-54 are rated at 90mW cw and 180mW pulsed. It's still enough to pop balloons, but if the more powerful SLD1236VL diodes died in minimags, then these ones will die even easier. :o

and im looking at the diode now, it has "6EJL" then "1017".

Haha, sorry I meant a fully assembled one, one the site it says $73 shipped I believe.
ooOO, well I think $50 shipped would be the best I could offer a completed Laser for. PM me your paypal email and i'll send a money request.

and about chibo's note, that means that these diodes are slightly less powerful than stated, so probably 200mW pulsed power and 60-70mW CW power. (still plenty to pop balloons / light matches or whatever)
How does it power on does it have the aftermaket push button that goes on the bottom?

Example: Ebay item # 260214188695

it is turned on by twisting the top, same way you turn on the maglite normally.

Not to go off topic, but those click switches suck, GF.  The one I had on my mag quit working after two months, and it was hardly used. Maybe I just got one that was made on an off shift, I dunno.

cool. thx for the info, im thinking if i wanted to mod it with a push button i would just buy my own button and rig it up.

I have a push button on one of my minimags and I love it. It works good with the laser since it never twists the pins or anything, maybe I just had bad luck in the past, but I only had the laser minimag for about a week before it burned out. That's why I made that other thread regarding a capacitor and resistor in the minimag.

did u get the cap and resistor to fit in the minimag successfully? i'm motivated to get a soldering gun and go up to radioshack and wreck house.

I dunno yet, I do not have a diode for it, the one that was in it burned out :'(

I just got 2 diodes fom Senkat and one is outputing 260mW max, 245-250 avg. at 290mA !! I used it last night for hours ( up to 3-4minutes at the time)

Can you take a macro picture shown the production code? (6EVL xxxx)

Yeah, I second that, maybe Senkat got the good diodes again. [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif]

6EJL
1023

We spoke about his "bad batch" before I ordered last week and he said it was very small amount that was shipped to him by mistake. Now he sorted things out!

sk8er4514, I think you should post your own diode pic at your website, I checked the x forum and SenKat is getting pissed because you're using his pic,  that's a copyright violation.

EDIT: NVM, I just took a look at the website, you put up a different pic.

How much for a 245mW 650nm laser diode setup, installed in module & mini-maglite?
Thanks!

yeah i got a message from some guy on laserenthuist, i didn't realize he owned the pic. didn't mean to intrude on his property or anything.
