Depends how you define cheap. Cheapest you'll probably see one is $75 or so. Unless someone wants to give one away ... :san:

I have no idea what a starter one shuold be able to do. Can u recommend one, or tell me where I can buy good ones? Oh and where can i ask if someone has one to spare?

This went over well am glad i was a part of it. Making folks happy with spare items we had laying around.I have so much stock to build i'm sure you do also it makes you feel good to share for a good cause.

It's sure does. I'll probably give some more stuff away as well. As my interest falls more into photographing lasers and less into building them I may find myself with quite a lot of stuff I could sell off and put towards a better camera. But I'll be sure to make a couple nice give always as well.
I really like building but with the limited time I have for the hobby I find myself more wanting to fog up a room and get some beams blazing rather than a solder iron.
I wish I had more time so I could do both. Ain't that the truth of for us all.
