yup, but based on the price and power rating - i doubt it works all that well

Why? I think, with some luck, one may get one with 75 to 100 mW!  They even say it will go ~40 to 80!

why would they rate it as 15mw when DX rates them at 35mw?

DX doesn't have time t double check their stuff, imagine the equipment just for testing they would have to carry if they did.

Well I just gotta see what it can do so I ordered one.  I think for $46 shipped, if this unit goes continous with over 20 mW I will find it useful and well priced!

Yes! dar303, I got it, it seems it was a definate case of under promise and over deliver!  It came in an ESD plastic bag with a label which stated 50 mW, (although sold as a 15 mW). I think at the adjustment it was then set at as rec'd, output seems was >50 by a comfortable margin.  I don't want to kill this beauty, so I have yet to but slightly budge the pot.  90+ is a hot beam and lights up matches at ~2 feet.  If I get a little more sure of myself, I think I'll try to push it to just over 130 mW, that would outdo my Nova X105 that Sawt_al_Hurriyah sold me!
