If you are willing to separate it, I am interested some of PTs from the bright stuff lot. It is a good deal, so I imagine it will sell, but if it doesn't, PM me.

you are awesome rhd +rep that is SO generous of you and makes me really want to find something that i want :p. for you actually have a few

Great sale RHD and a wonderful idea on the donations!

That PT-121 caught my eye right away. I'd love to get one of those in a flashlight soon.

Yeah, I'd like to get one of those mini-greenies... It'd be fun to play around with, but I can't afford to get the entire lot of stuff.

Hey guys,

As requested, I've sub-divided up some of the lots. I also removed one of the lots.

I added Paypal buttons, and just coded them in for the asking price (lowered in some cases as well).

People can use the Paypal buttons at their leisure. This stuff will stay available, until purchased. Then the links won't allow a second purchase (and I'll try to remove them too).

Hey guys,

If there's any interest in this stuff, make your voices heard :)

I'm going to list whatever doesn't sell here by tomorrow evening, up on eBay.

Cheers

If I may, what are the things in the last 3 pictures? (second post) Also, what are those green diodes exactly? I'm very new to green in a diode package.

Ok, so those last 3 pictures are things I took out of this listing (the second post was so that I could increase the number of image uploads).

They're stuff from huurersciences, the bulk of which being Laser Diode Emitters. There are probably a thousand of them in those boxes, ranging from 635 (supposedly, though I think the lower end is actually higher, around 650) to deep into the IR (maybe 960+). The emitters supposedly go up to 5W (or 7W?), but my sense is that those high powers are all spread across the IR emitters, not the visible reds.

The challenge, is that as cool as it is to have 1,000 laser diode emitters, they're almost useless without a way to mount them on a diode package. This isn't easy - I've tried, and over time I've given some emitters to other members who were ambitious. To my knowledge, nobody has really had much luck. In theory, it's doable (see: Die4LASER).

But I took them out of this listing basically because I didn't want to cause frustration in someone else's life ;) They're the kind of thing that *sounds neat* in theory, but in practice, will cause you to loose hair.

There were also some random diode blocks among the lot.

diode blocks? And I wouldn't mind take one of those packets of emitters, unless it's still $18 shipping, then no thanks. It's something that'd be kinda cool to have. Also, still curious about the 532 diodes.

Shipping doesn't change. $18 is the base price, as mentioned:
"For most of these lots, the shipping cost is just the base $18 for Expedited Parcel / Xpresspost."

The 532s are directly doubled 1064nm diodes made by Corning. So technically, it's not really DPSS.

Well then, I don't think I want to spend $18 to ship something I know will be useless for me :/ Still interesting though :)

So are they in a module? A can? Are they useful for mounting in portables? Or is that metal box on the left in the second the last picture the "diode"?

Sorry for all the questions.

They are literally just the diode emitters, that's it :)
