For sale : 501B lasers with copper heatsink from $80

Re: For sale: NEW 1W-2.2W 445nm 501B lasers with copper heatsink from $100

dont shine then up at the sky!

Waiting for mine, perhaps today it will arrive! I hope :yh:
Why not shining it at the sky? That's so great a beautifull beam in the night sky!

You took which version?
Enjoy it and stay safe!

It is safe to shine in the open sky. Make sure there is no airplanes or other flying objects around the area you are using the laser.

Just received it!
Simply one word, wooooow! What a beauty!
Charging the batteries, just made a test before but i think it's far away from full power..
Can we charge both batteries at the same on the charger by aligning them respecting the polarities?
Thanks you so much Blord! What a beast! Love the host!

If you're hesiting to buy one from him don't hesit no more...

Edit: i answer myself to my stupid question the voltage will not be sufficient to charge both on same time... what a shame stupid question lol, i was tired when i asked that.... :-)

Only one flaw, the charger is not working, i used mine to charge the batteries and later i just tested the one you have send me, when i put the battery in, no reaction of the led and i confirm it's not charging.
I respected the polarities, one strange thing is that the sticker with the polarities is at reverse side than mine.
To be more explicit on mine the + is upward and - downward and on yours it's - upward and + downward.
They're exactly same except that, do you think it's a flaw or it's normal?

When i put the batteries in the led don't change of color as it's supposed to do, i tested also with another li-on battery just to be sure it's not the batteries.

That's not in any case a flaw in your build i just love how beautiful and powerful it is, just wanted to tell you about that.

You can test with a DMM which side of the charge is positive and negative. The chargers care not tested individually and it could be a faulty charger.
Is your charger single battery or double battery configuration ? I will look at them tonight.

I don't have one for the moment, i lended it to a friend :-(
It's the single one, i would need a double one one day, it's annoying to charge batteries one by one :-)
Is there a reverse polarity protection on this one? Because if that's the case i can test to put the battery in the way like mine, perhaps it's just the stickers which is reversed.
Want to be sure before testing.

Edit: tested it more, when i connect the charger to the wall socket the led light switch on to bright red and when i connect the battery the led decrease in power. The oposite as it's supposed to do usually.
What do you think of that?

I have tried my chargers. The positive side is the side with the LED just as the large sticker pointed out. The LED turns to green when the batteries are charged.
You mustn't put the batteries in the wrong direction or the charger will fail.

Did you put in the batteries in the wrong direction ?
I can refund you the money for the charger or you want a replacement ?

No i didn't tested in the wrong direction, i thought to do that just to test if the sticker is in the wrong direction, but not tested because i'm not sure about the polarity protection.

If you can i prefer a refund, with that i will buy a double one, one of the chargers recommended here on LPF.

You're the one! Great buyer support!

Re: For sale: NEW 1W-2.2W 445nm 501B lasers with copper heatsink from $100

Hi Blord,

My (N)o-like 1W blue died after a few minutes of use (but after more than 1 year) and I need a better replacement.

Your 501B 2.2W is something I'd like to have. But I think I read that it's pushed over the limit. Could you adjust one to have lower power and longer life ?

What would be its power to be "on spec" or slightly below ?
I'd buy it with batteries, shipped to france and pay by bank transfer (SEPA).

I'd be glad to have your answer soon (and possibly one of your lasers).

The 9mm diode is rated for 1 Watt but they can do easily 2+ Watt without problems. The life expectancy is reduced when the diode is overdriven but still acceptable.
I can set it at a lower current like 1.5A and still have an output of 2 Watt.

Thank you.
I have a lot of cheap 4.2 V chargers I use for 18650. Do I need to order one from you ?

PM sent.

Re: For sale: NEW 1W-2.2W 445nm 501B lasers with copper heatsink from $100

If the 18350 batteries physically fits in your 18650 charger then it isn't a problem charging the 18350 batteries. The li-ion chemistry in both batteries are the same and the charger shouldn't have a problem with it.

Thanks for the order. :)

Will the chargers automatically stop charging the batteries once they're full? And when youre using the batteries, how can you tell when to stop using them so they don't become overdischarged and unchargeable?

The charger will automatically charge the batteries. Red LED means charging and green LED is ready. When ready the current will stop.
I use the dual battery charger all the time without problems.
