Flying Killbots

Interesting machine ! It flys for all that time on how much fuel? That isnt very big.

Mike

It looks like a NASA design merged with a missile...but then again, aren't all of NASA's designs pretty much just missiles with live people instead of live warheads?

scary... that reminds me exactly of the rocket launcher in resistance... you hold alt fire and it stops the missle in mid air, just like that, and then you point it where you want it and "re fire" in that direction...

Wow, that is an incredibly smooth attitude feedback loop, I wonder if it uses gyroscopic stabilization, or if those pulse jets are the only things keeping it level?

[edit]

judging by the way it rolls when it hits the ground it doesnt look like there is any gyro, Now that is impressive, just think of how many hours it took to prefect those PID loops. :o

That is a prefect example of the 3rd law of motion,
sir. isaac newton would be proud

yeah, i dont think it's firing, it's just propelling itself and stabilizing its motion

What you are seeing is the testing phase for anti-satellite kinetic weapons and anti-ballistic missile (MIRV) kinetic weapons. They need absolute attitude control to impact MIRVs and satellites moving at speeds up to 50,000 mph or so if they are in opposing trajectories.
