It's used in magic tricks. A good magic shop should have it.

it's great stuff. ships wet so it doesn't combust. essentially it's extremely flammable paper that lights very easily. One black dot and POOOF!

To be technical it is nitrocellulose, it is basically the same thing as guncotton and pyrodex. If you want to attempt to make it here is a good link: http://www.powerlabs.org/chemlabs/nitrocellulose.htm

And anyone who plans to make some but is not completely familiar with working with concentrated acids, sensitive explosives, and all around dangerous stuff that get you arrested or even kill you, needs to be struck about the head and face with the 2x4 of enlightenment.

I've been playing with these sort of things for more than half my life. and I'll be the first to tell you that I should be dead by now.
