Hey guys, recently I purchased a laser from someone I know from a different forum, and he made me understand that I NEEDED a new diode as it was burned out. He made it clear that it is a 445nm wavelength diode. But he doesn't know exactly which diode I need. He gave me a paper which appears to be from Lazerer, and it states that the MAX output would be 1127mW's. Would that mean I would need a 1200mW diode? And which diode which I need? I can post pictures by tomorrow. Thanks.

UPDATE: Here's the model: LZCB445-1000 http://lazerer.com/cyber-445nm-1w-focusable-blue-laser-pointer

Hi well first welcome to the forum, you might try an introduction first usually helps as to the diode yes 1200 diode would do but i would go for something a bit higher, as to which one well there's enough to choose from main criteria being one that will fit into the host properly and driver board etc , so many lasers out there of the Laserer type a picture or two would probably help and someone else much more into building lasers will give you some advice on a recommendation of which diode to buy to sort out your problem cheers

I provided you with a link inside the thread, I Apologize if you might have posted before viewing it.

No i didn't see the link before i must have posted before you added the pictures
but great its there now cheers

Contact the seller directly to see what diodes he uses, the guy that owns the shop is on here called by the same name, It's more likely going to be an M-140 diode at that low power

I have no idea how to post my own thread, so I am going to comment on here I bought this laser Burning Matches 50mw Green Laser Pointer +18650 Set US$34.99 only from ledshoppe, and it worked yesterday and now I went to use it today and the dot is smaller then a normal red 2mw you get from the dollar store, I haven't a clue as to what has happend but its annoying knowing i spent like almost 40$ on a 50mw and it stopped working please help me someone!

try new batteries, failing that, sounds like the crystals have being mis aligned, dont look at the red dot as this is IR and can still cause damage to your eyes

Thanks a lot, I sent him a message. Hopefully he replies, before I receive the laser. I want to post some beam shots ASAP :D

"Please strictly follow the duty cycle to prevent the laser from demaging."
You would think the spelling would have been corrected by now right?^^

Aww. So nobody knows which type of diode the laser uses? I guess I'll just take my chances with an M-140 diode 445nm diode.

What you most likely need is an M-140 445nm diode. They're readily available. Go to Wannaburnstuff's fabulous new thread, Made In LPF, in my signature.

Is there any specific thing I'd need to do to the diode when installing it? Or would I just need to solder it to the driver? Sorry, I'm kind of new to lasers.
