first surface mirrors

I found some first surface mirrors and they are translucent. If I hold em up to the lights I can see through them Slightly.......... Are these the same mirrors that you guys use? I shoot my laser on the mirror And I can see it On the surface behind the mirror!!! Are these the wrong kind of first surface mirrors¿?¿?¿

I have some inexpensive Minolta first surface mirrors,
that are large enough to mount on cooling fans for inexpensive light shows.

They come in 1.5" x 2" or 2" x 2" sizes.

The nearest that I have r 4 automotive....... the side mirrors. I think they are just super low quality They still reflect a large amount of light I might put them on a fan and see what happens. ( When they fly off) lol

first surface mirror only has to reflect one wavelength: the wavelength of the laser being used with it. As such, they only coat the glass to reflect that one color. Coating may still reflect other colors, or it may just let 'em pass through.
