BTW Those NUBM arrays can be focused well enough to cut steel up close, nothing like the accuracy of a fiber laser but crude cuts yes.

I remember the first time I saw a picture of a razor blade which had a hole punched through it with a laser. I believe there was a few thousand dollars worth of ruby involved. Yay progress!

Can you share how your columatior is setup on the end of the fiber? Do you need to blow compressed air through across the optic to keep the vaporized metals from condensing on it?
