FEELER: New 3.8 reds neutral grounding

Hi all,

This is for anyone involved in the GB for the new red diodes lazereer has acquired for us.

I have spoken to JLSE about having these diodes altered and he stated that if more people from the GB were interested we may be able to organize to have lazereer send them for alteration before mailing them on to us.

How many of you would be interested in having JLSE perform his surgery skills on them? Essentially making it so that the diode would be a neutral ground.

Please comment in this thread and we may be able to work out a deal with JLSE and lazereer.

I am not sure how much longer this would delay the delivery of the diodes.

I'd be in even for just my 1 diode it would let me use my choice of driver and for the best heatsinking I think it's nescessary BTW how much $ for 1 diode to be altered

Well, this would save on the overall shipping, so everybody gets a break on that.
The service would still be 10$ per diode.

It would take 2-3 days for the alterations for a moderate amount of diodes
and can be returned with express shipping of 2 days with tracking for 30$ or so.

If you have 30 participants, thats only $1 and change for a total service time
of 4 days. Note this doesnt include the cost and shipping time from lazeerer to me,
but the time and price should be similar

I would also be fine with all the AU orders being sent to one person to distribute to save postage if there are enough of us...
