hi, i just get a new alpha 125mw 15 min ago and its really strong , light matches and pop balloons in less then 1 sec, but the beam is not aligned with the tube... is it normal with lasers or should i send it for repair???

heh my room is little bit messy :-[

As long as the beam isn't hitting the side of the aperture cap it is fine. Don't go through the trouble of RMAing it over a small problem like the beam being slightly off center.

I have seen this discussed a number of times here and experienced it myself. I would guess it is down to the complicated alignment of LD, crystal, lenses.

It doesn.t look too bad, as long as you can live with it.

thank guys
i just wanted to make sure its not something what after 2 weeks will kill my laser (its my first 1 so its always beter to ask a professionals

what batteries You use GooeyGus? cose i wanna buy a rechargeable and i am not sure which 1...

I use energizer lithiums. If you use rechargeables you may notice a very slight drop in power, as I believe they are around 1.2v There is a way you can pot mod it so that the power will be the same on the rechargeables but I do not recommend this unless you know exactly what you're doing.

I use Sanyo Eneloops. They're a lot better than any other one's I've used. :)

What!?! no way... my dealextreme lasers are off center as well!
lol...

looks like you have a good laser there! ;)
